Description and Deliverables

The project is aimed at providing technical assistance to the Tunisian Employment Agency (Agence Tunisienne de L'Emploi-ATE).

It has two dimensions:

1. Strengthen the institutional capacity of the ATE. It aims to improve the efficiency of management of all interventions and projects in the area of creation of employment, emphasising the central role of the Agency.

2. Creation of new employment by vocational re-training based on the CEFE method and establishment of micro-enterprises for:

a. people who have lost their jobs due to industrial restructuring
b. people who need additional training in order to be able to perform at new positions within the same companies
c. people leaving the universities and looking for a first employment

needs assessment of the Employment Agency in Tunisia (ATE) -institutional controlling
establishment of centralised project management system for the whole sector at the ATE
establishment of co-operation framework between the different project in the sector
development of training modules, based on the CEFE method, and delivering of training materials
management training for the employees of the ATE
