Description and Deliverables

Governmental consultancy in the field of reformation and transformation of the vocational education system, strengthening of the vocational education administrations. The project included components like the following:

  • Policy advice to VET structures
  • Design of 3 pilots for VET - Establishment of three new field for VET in pilot schools established during earlier projects
  • Identification and realisation of training possibilities in the field of commerce, industry / agriculture and services
  • Comprehensive training and further education measures for managers and experts
  • Definition of modern job descriptions, development/adoption and adaptation of curricula, development of assessment concepts
  • Introduction of new methods in the field of first training, in particular introduction of practice oriented training (dual form) as new integral part of VET
  • Development of teaching and learning aids, trainer training
  • Training cooperation with businesses
  • Planning and procurement of equipment for training centres
  • Design of recommendations for training execution

Consultancy and training in three key areas of VET - commerce, tourism / hotel / catering, motor vehicle engineering. Services included:

  • Comprehensive project management and coordination, briefing of experts, supervision and reporting
  • Detailed analysis, provision of comprehensive policy advice to local key stakeholders
  • Execution of activities as described, with particular focus to job description, curricula development, trainer training, implementation of new assessment and examination standards and forms (interim and final VET exams)
  • Support to VET pilots, implementation of pilot courses for apprentices
  • Execution of the equipment planning and procurement procedure (according to international regulations), including supervision of delivery and installation
