Description and Deliverables

The objective of the assignment was to elaborate a country report for Uzbekistan, consisting of support for the elaboration of a national strategy plan for the developments of systems of continuing training. To this end a TA team of three international experts worked in the field. They carried out a stock-taking on the present situation of vocational education and training, including initial, post-secondary and continuing vocational education and training. Based on the analysis, a strategy plan for development of a national system of continuing training was elaborated. This report contained recommendations and for further projects. The country report was presented at an international conference, addressing issues on continuing vocational education and training in Central Asia.

Three experts carried out a 2-week mission to Uzbekistan as one team. They elaborated a country report through interviews, co-operation with local experts and studies of already available documentation, including the comments from the international conference in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.
