Description and Deliverables

Design of a comprehensive feasibility study on the possibilities of improving vocational education and training in Mongolia

The study focussed on the following:
  • Analysis of the pre-conditions set at secondary education level.
  • Identification of the requirements in VET sector
  • Review and revision of existing curricula.
  • Strategic recommendations on training of trainers
  • Advice to further development of VET centres
  • Comments on the strengthening of links between secondary school education and VET

Visits to Mongolian training and education centres;talks, meetings and discussion with the responsible staff for education, incl. on governmental level; set-up of reports and recommendations to the client in order to implement a possible vocational training project; liaising with educationalists and principals of schools (mainly secondary schools) to identify requirements in VET sector, provision of comprehensive policy advice and a catalogue of recommendations
