Description and Deliverables

Design of a comprehensive feasibility study on the possibilities of improving vocational education and training in Mongolia

The study focussed on the following:

Analysis of the pre-conditions set at secondary education level.
Identification of the requirements in VET sector
Review and revision of existing curricula.
Strategic recommendations on training of trainers
Advice to further development of VET centres
Comments on the strengthening of links between secondary school education and VET

Visits to Mongolian training and education centres;talks, meetings and discussion with the responsible staff for education, incl. on governmental level; set-up of reports and recommendations to the client in order to implement a possible vocational training project; liaising with educationalists and principals of schools (mainly secondary schools) to identify requirements in VET sector, provision of comprehensive policy advice and a catalogue of recommendations
