Introducing ABU Consult Berlin

We are an independent consulting firm based in Bestensee, Germany and have gained specific experience in the process of democratic and economic reforms taking place in transition countries, especially in Central and Eastern European Countries, the New Independent States, South East Asia and North Africa. We are specialised in training, education and HRD in general. ABU Consult Berlin has specific transition experience: Since the beginning of the transition process we have played a significant role in the development of social infrastructure and the reforms of political and social institutions in former East Germany, the NIS, transition and development countries around the globe.

ABU Consult Berlin is a highly experienced consultancy within the framework of EuropeAid, World Bank Group, Asian Development Bank and bilaterally (e.g. German, Swiss and Danish) funded development initiatives with numerous successfully implemented projects. ABU Consult has gained profound experience in the field of project management and sustainable co-operation with ministries, social partners, NGOs, state and private organisations and institutions.

The work undertaken over the last years has been carried out mainly in Central and Eastern Europe, Russia, Central and South East Asia and North Africa, as a single contractor or in association with important partners. We are successfully expanding our project activities to the Middle East, Oceania and Central America.

ABU Consult Berlin has developed its own efficient tools to design and implement projects of different kinds in reform and transition countries and has implemented a large number of advisory, training- and education-related projects funded by major donors as EuropeAid, World Bank and Asian Development Bank. The majority of the projects implemented until now did not only concern a single area of expertise, but combined several ones, with a focus on advisory in HRD, training and education.
